3 Reasons To Get Into Hiking This Summer from Champagne Style Bare Budget

What are y’all most looking forward to this summer? For me, the longer days, gorgeous sunshine, and warmer weather make for the perfect excuse to spend as much time outside as possible. One of my favorite ways to experience the great outdoors is to hit up the hiking trails. From paved park paths to rugged mountain trails, it’s easy to find a route that suits you and your hiking preferences. Plus, there are so many perks to hiking regularly, it’s hard to imagine anyone who wouldn’t enjoy this satisfying pastime. Discover the benefits by reading my favorite reasons to get into hiking this summer.

Everyone Enjoys It

Hiking is one of those rare activities that anyone and everyone can enjoy. It’s free, you don’t need any special talent, and you can set your own pace as you go. This means you can enjoy hiking with anyone and everyone throughout the season. Make it a family activity by bringing the kids along—they’re sure to love the opportunity for adventure. An easy hike is also a great way to catch up with friends. Even if y’all are still avoiding big crowds and indoor activities this summer, you can have a great time hiking together. Did I mention you can bring your furry friends as well? Just make sure you check the trail or park’s rules for pets so that you can be respectful of other hikers.

Perfect Vacation Opportunity

Do y’all have any fun vacations lined up this summer? Hiking trips provide a perfect opportunity to get away from your normal routine and unwind somewhere beautiful. Plan a day trip or use one of summer’s three-day weekends to explore the trails at a nearby state or national parks. You can even turn a hiking trip into a longer outdoor vacation. You can travel somewhere just for the hiking trails—such as beautiful Colorado, which is bursting with some of the best hiking opportunities in the country. Alternatively, simply add a beautiful trail or two to your normal itinerary for a bit of outdoor fun in your travel plans.

Get Out of the House

One of the simplest yet most valuable reasons to get into hiking this summer is that it gets you out of the house. Imagine spending an afternoon enjoying a fresh breeze, the sound of birds in the trees, and the glorious feeling of the natural world around you. Whether you’re on your own or with others, hiking lets you relax and reset while appreciating the world around you. Besides, after a year of social distancing, who doesn’t need a little more outdoor time in their lives? Enjoy the outdoors a little more this summer when you explore all the incredible parks and trails around you.
