Spring is finally here, y’all. I was tired of being cooped up inside my house; I was itching to get out to my garden or enjoy a refreshing glass of wine while I watch the sunset. Now, I finally can. Yet, all that time I spent stuck in my house made me realize I need to do some serious renovations. Below are some spring remodeling projects to brighten your home.
New Window Treatments
A few weeks ago, I was on the couch binging something on Netflix and I looked over at my windows. I realized it was seriously time to replace my window treatments. My old window treatments were incredibly dingy, and they clashed with the rest of my home’s aesthetic. That’s why I got rid of them once it got warmer outside and I felt motivated enough to take on a project. I’m in love with the window treatments I chose. Not only do they look fresh and much cleaner than what I used to have, but they’re also a design statement in my living room. I have a lot of neutral-colored furniture, so I chose window treatments with bold colors and interesting designs to add dimension to the space. Now, I can officially say that my house matches the season outside.
Replace Your Siding
I don’t know about y’all, but winter wasn’t kind to my house’s siding. A few weeks ago, my husband and I went out for a walk. We barely made it twenty feet away from our home before I realized our siding’s awful state. Much to my husband’s chagrin, I contacted a professional siding company the minute spring arrived. New siding is undoubtedly a spring remodeling project to brighten your home. I can’t believe what a difference new siding has made; our house looks brand new. We used to have a tan siding on our place that blended in with other homes on the block. Now, we chose a striking navy blue, and we’ve received endless compliments.
Fresh Landscaping
Nothing screams spring more than fresh landscaping. I wanted to be kind to my lawn after the harsh winter; ultimately, I contacted a trusted landscaping company the minute spring rolled around. I am in love with the way my front lawn looks now. There are bright flowers everywhere, and the grass is remarkably green. I also had the landscaping company work in my backyard because I know we’ll be hanging out there over the summer. The team gave me some tips on maintaining my garden. Hopefully, I can even cook using my own ingredients soon. I also bought some modern outdoor patio furniture, so we have a place to sit when we want to dine outside.
