It’s no secret that life can be incredibly expensive. Simply maintaining our homes, physical bodies, cars, and other belongings can make a serious dent in our monthly income. As y’all probably already know, I love finding new ways to save money. Whether you have a running list of ideas or have no idea where to start, y’all should consider these helpful DIY solutions to help save money in 2023. In my book, there’s nothing worse than not having any cash left over for entertainment or other pleasure purchases. Follow along to start saving!
Make Meals at Home
I love eating out as much as the next gal, but your wallet can take a hit when you do this multiple times each week. With that said, I recommend making as many meals at home as possible to avoid unnecessary spending. If you’re not the best chef, consider investing in a quality cookbook with various simple recipes. Cooking is a learning experience and having a simple place to start is the best way to hone your skills in the kitchen.
Learn To Do Your Own Nails
Beauty and feeling good about ourselves don’t have to go by the wayside because we want to save money. By learning to do your own nails, you can steer clear of lofty nail salon prices. Believe it or not, you can buy an entire nail kit for the price of one trip to the salon. Use the internet, friends, and family as resources during the beginning stages. Y’all shouldn’t expect your first attempt to be perfect. Don’t give up so soon!
Clean Your Car at Home
If you’re anything like me, y’all probably don’t think too much about the cost of car maintenance, as it’s a necessity. However, you can save a few bucks by cleaning your car at home rather than paying for a car wash or hiring someone else to do a full-vehicle detail. With that said, knowing how to get the brightest shine on your car can help you steer clear of overspending on vehicle maintenance.
Consider Making Your Own Household Products
Household products like laundry detergent, personal care items, and cleaning solutions are some of the first products to increase in price as the years’ progress. As a result, I’ve learned that it pays to make homemade household items. Believe it or not, you can make laundry detergent with a few ingredients you probably already have in a cabinet, and you may be able to make your own hair masks using coconut oil and honey.
Hopefully, these DIY solutions to help save money in 2023 will allow y’all to make the most of your income and budget. I’ve found that learning to do many things myself is one of the most effective ways to reduce unnecessary spending and build savings.
