Comparing Smart Assistants: Google vs Alexa vs Siri

A smart assistant is a virtual robot that resides on your smartphone. It is meant to take user’s queries and provide them the most relevant response. Presently, there are three major giants that are in the quest to make the best smart assistant. There are tons of things that a smart assistant is capable of doing. The best thing is that since they are made on the base of artificial intelligence technology, they keep learning and get better with time. The more you try, the better they become.

They may work flawlessly and very fast but the actual game happens in the backend. Every smart assistant works after they are alerted. They are alerted with some keyword. Currently, there are a total of 3 assistants which are on the quest to become the best at giving the most relevant responses. Hey Alexa, Ok Google and Hey Siri are some examples of the cue words that alert the assistants. All the assistants work on the same logic but the difference comes in the protocols. When it comes how these smart assistants work. The process may appear easy but it is actually complex. The very first thing is that the assistant gets the query. It then dissects the whole statement in small parts such that a context can be taken out. Often times we see that the assistant asks the user to repeat the command. This usually happens when the assistant wasn’t able to retrieve for the answers in one go. Once the answers are finalized then the assistants react in the set voice tone. Each brand has also come up with their own home smart system that works in tandem with the smart assistant so it gives the user access to control things like home sound system and the home light system. At the end of the day, it all depends on the taste of an individual user and you can ahead with the assistant that appeal to you more.
