This year is one for the record books, y’all. Since things have been so stressful, couples have to try even harder to maintain their relationships. For example, my hubby and I set aside some time every day to check in with each other. Without these moments, we’d both go crazy! Now, I want to share some more tips on how to keep the romance alive. One thing you can do to reconnect is to take a socially distant trip together this fall. Luckily, many places are following CDC guidelines, so you can feel safe while you’re away. Do some research, and find out which location is right for you. Personally, I think there are many reasons to visit the Poconos for a weekend getaway. If y’all aren’t comfortable doing activities like white-water rafting, you can just enjoy the views from a stunning cabin.
Give Each Other Compliments
Couples can also exchange more compliments to make each other feel better. Like I said before, the world feels incredibly uncertain right now. We all deserve to have someone in our corners to lift our spirits when we need it. Think about telling your partner if their outfit is flattering or that you adore their smile. One tiny bit of praise can turn someone’s entire day around.
Learn Something Together
Learning something together can also help reignite a spark because it’s a chance to spend time together. Look, I know how miserable it is to be stuck in the house. Yet, I’ve tried to remember we’ll never get another opportunity like this again. Consider learning a new skill together to get in that quality time. Hopefully, this habit continues throughout the rest of your relationship, y’all.
