Y’all, I’m definitely getting a little stir-crazy. I know that it’s our responsibility to stay inside and stop the spread of the coronavirus, but it’s getting really difficult to stay put. I miss having cocktails outside with my friends or going shopping for a new outfit. Luckily, I’ve finally found something to fill my time that I wanted to share with y’all. Try out these home improvement projects while you’re stuck inside to help pass the time. Show your family and friends that you can be productive while social distancing.
Organize Your Garage
There are so many reasons to give your garage a makeover. For starters, the cleaner your garage is, the easier it’ll be to find stuff. I can’t tell y’all how many hours I’ve spent digging through my garage looking for Christmas decorations. It’d also be nice if I could actually park my car in the garage, too. So, I decided to use my time in quarantine as a chance to clean out the space. I purchased containers and shelves online, so things were tidier. This makeover process was also an excellent opportunity to use my label maker. I labeled every box so everything’s easier to find. Now, I can walk through the space with ease, and I don’t worry about tripping over miscellaneous items.
If you don’t have a garage but you have been thinking about getting one built using a professional Garage Builder, or you want to build it yourself, you have a clean slate to start from. From the get-go, make sure you have all the storage items you need and, of course, the labels. Having a garage may not be a viable option for everyone, but if you have the space to build it then it can be a great additional area for storage or an extra room to do your hobbies and relax.
Clean Out Your Closets
My time in quarantine has taught me that I have too many clothes. I’ve been stuck in sweatpants most days, but when I’m bored, I venture over to the closet. Wow. I have so many outfits that I’ve only worn once. So, one day, I got some garbage bags and got rid of all the clothing items I didn’t need. Follow my lead, y’all, and do this home improvement project while you’re stuck inside. I actually felt lighter when I could see the back of my closet. The best part was I donated all these clothes to people in need. Not only did I get more organized, but I felt great about helping others.
Create a Photo Wall
I’ve walked every square inch of my house since this quarantine started. I’ve cleaned every area I can, as well. One thing I noticed during my “house walks” is that my walls were completely barren. I needed something to fill the space! So, I ordered some pictures online and created a photo wall in my place. I’ve been sad not being able to see my loved ones, so it was lovely to see their faces in pictures as I was creating my photo wall. I have to say, the wall looks amazing, and I’m incredibly proud of this project.
