Keep reading to see 5 Things That Dog Lovers Do Differently.

From shopping at online stores that donate to animals to inviting their pups on the furniture and in the front seat, the life of the dog owner is quite different. For those who aren’t dog people, this may seem a bit odd, but it’s considered the norm for others. Keep reading to learn more.

1. Create Nick Names for Their Dog

Most dog owners give their pup a name, but then rarely use it. This is something that doesn’t make much sense to non-dog owners or cat owners. Instead of this name, owners will create a nickname, along with a few varieties of that nickname that seem to get weirder and weirder as time passes. Eventually, the nicknames are used in a made-up song, as well.

2. Create Scenarios to See How the Dog Would React

Dog’s are man’s best friend. As a result, many people like to see how their dogs would react in different situations. One of the most popular examples is pretending to faint by lying on the floor and seeing how the dog responds. Another example would be seeing how they react when their favorite human talks to them on the phone. Unfortunately, there are many dog owners who wind up disappointed by the results, which begs the question -; why even do this in the first place?

3. Conduct Elaborate Photo Shoots for Their Dog

There is nothing cuter to a dog owner than photos of their pup when they fall asleep or in cute costumes. There are even some dog owners who create elaborate setups for their dog’s photoshoot including props, different backgrounds and more.

4. Brake for Every Dog They See

Even if the dog is in their owner’s yard, dog-people are going to brake to make sure they are okay and that they aren’t running to the road. If there is a remote indication the dog may be homeless or a stray, a dog person will stop, pick up the dog, take it to the vet, spend hundreds of dollars, and the cycle continues. This is something that non-dog people don’t really understand, but something that most dog people do.

5. Avoid Moving to Keep from Disturbing the Dog

A dog person will never disturb a sleeping dog. They will sit in the same position, avoid eating, using the restroom, and any other activity that may disturb their sleeping pup. This isn’t something that most people without dogs understand. However, it is one thing that most dog people can agree on.

When it comes to dogs, there is no question that there are more than a few factors that make a person a dog-person. However, as a dog person, there are certain behaviors and activities that the individual may do that doesn’t make sense to others. While this is true, it is considered “normal” and by some, expected. Also, dog- and cat-people are diametrically opposed, so don’t even try to compare the two. This is something that both of these individuals will scoff at.
