When cleaning your luxury car, paying close attention to every single detail will ensure the whole car looks as spotless as possible. I don’t know about y’all, but after learning to clean my car myself, I’ve come to expect a certain level of service above what a typical car wash will give you. I expect to see that all interior details were taken care of, not just the upholstery. If y’all want to get your car looking pretty as a picture, here are my top tips to help y’all keep your luxury car clean.
If I have to hire someone to detail my car, I make sure they include all features of the dash—from the steering wheel to the passenger air vent and everything in between; all the seatbelts, the gear shift, the kids’ fitted car seats—everything. If y’all choose to do this work yourself, it may be handy to utilize a fine bristled brush to get into all those hard-to-reach cracks and crevices.
Besides detail work, the carpets are also something to pay attention to when cleaning your car. In most luxury cars, the carpets have intricate logos or designs that may require extra attention so as not to distort them accidentally. I suggest taking the carpets out when possible and washing them with a carpet shampoo to ensure that your carpets are clean and the logos or designs stay intact.
Did y’all know the type of water y’all use to wash your car’s exterior will determine whether you’ll have water spots? Mineral deposits and other unsightly stains are often left behind even after a good washing due to the rate at which the water evaporates. To avoid any water spots occurring on your freshly washed car, consider using deionized water. Deionized water will evaporate quickly and leave no residue behind because it’s a form of purified water—i.e., there’re no minerals to be left behind. If y’all don’t have access to an ionizer, simply use a microfiber cloth to buff away any water spots y’all see.
While it can be a time-consuming process, cleaning your car is one of the best ways to prolong its life. I hope y’all enjoyed these top tips to help y’all clean your luxury car.
