Y’all, I need to drop the pandemic pounds ASAP. I spent so much time inside; I let my health and wellness fall by the wayside. Now, this summer, I’m starting my fitness journey. The best part is I’ve found out that I can help the environment while doing so. Here are some ways to save the environment while getting fit, y’all. You can save the Earth and get yourself in good shape at the same time.
Ride Your Bike
Cars emit gases and harmful chemicals into the atmosphere. So, try riding your bike instead of driving your automobile. Electric bikes can help you stay fit, and they’re super fun to ride. You can work out your core while sitting, plus pedaling will make your legs buff. The best part is that you’ll be helping the environment by doing so.
Clean Up Beaches and Parks
Walking is one of the simplest ways to burn calories, y’all. You can help the environment while taking simple steps—literally. Walk around a park or beach and pick up any trash you see. Cities usually have recycling programs, but some people don’t pay attention to them. I see trash all the time when I go out. So put on your Fitbit and get in those steps by cleaning up a park or beach. Getting rid of trash will prevent it from ending up in the water and harming an innocent animal.
These are some ways to save the environment while getting fit. How awesome is it that you can be eco-friendly and shed that quarantine 15? You don’t have to sacrifice one for the other. Y’all should ride your electric bikes around town instead of cruising around in your car. Another excellent idea is to walk around beaches and parks to clean up trash. You’ll be breaking a sweat in the summer heat and helping keep the Earth clean.
