Office Parties

First, you might want to think about arranging office parties for your business team. With the festive season just around the corner, it’s always going to be worth planning some parties to celebrate. Some businesses avoid this because it costs a lot of money. However, it is always worth it because it will boost morale throughout the office and give people something to look forward to. Think about somewhere that is central for everybody in the office and those working from home to get to. This could be a restaurant or some drinks in the local pub, what will everybody enjoy and get a kick out of? If you don’t want to do something that you do every year, then think about adding a team-building event to your party, bowling, for example.

Corporate Events

If you are wanting to bring your team together in a super fun way then you might want to think about hosting a corporate event. This can be organized by your own team, or you can outsource it to another company. The world is your oyster when it comes to corporate events, and it is down to you to choose what you want to do for your team. You might like to host an awards night where you recognize the hard work and efforts of your fellow colleagues. Alternatively, you could find something fun for everybody to do, such as a murder mystery party. This gets everyone thinking and working together to find out who the culprit is.

Shared Goals And Rewards

If everyone has goals that they can work towards, then they are far more likely to respond to the workload given to them. When someone goes above and beyond for your company, be sure to recognize this and reward their hard work. This could be anything from a day off in the future to a mention in the company newsletter. If you have a few people with the same job title, that do the same thing then ensure they are working together to create the same end result.

Family Events

In your business, there will be people with close family members, such as spouses and children. If you have family events then everybody can enjoy the time together, children do love coming to their parents place of work. Alternatively, you could hire somewhere out to hold your family event. This could be a hall or even a green space assuming you get the right permissions to do this. When you host a family event within your company, make everybody feel welcome and give them plenty of activities to take part in.

Office Layout

Something else to think about when it comes to bringing your team together is how you lay out the office. When you have a group of people working together, they need to be able to speak to others about what is going on with various tasks. If you have everybody in a separate space, while their productivity will be high, they won’t be able to ask for help when needed. Having an open plan office will eradicate this problem and give everyone a chance at having a chat and asking questions whenever they need to. However, do remember that you will have some people who don’t socialize well working in your office. They might not appreciate facing their co-workers while trying to focus on the task at hand.

Using Tech

Finally, if you have a hybrid working model, then you may be thinking of ways your team can still engage with one another. There are many platforms that can be used for video and voice chat during office hours, Zoom and Teams, for instance. Make sure that your employees have the right tech and software to make use of these systems. Using old, outdated tech will slow your business down. This means your employees may not be able to contact each other or you in an emergency.

We hope you found this article helpful and that it gave you some pointers and ideas on how you can bring your business team together. If you engage with your employees and treat them the right way then you will have a low employee churn rate as well as happy employees.
