Tips on How To Make Your Hair Healthier and Longer

My hair is a hugely important part of me, y’all. It gives me confidence and lets me portray the image I want to the world. However, taking care of my hair can seem like a full-time job at times. Luckily, I have these tips on how to make your hair healthier and longer. Now, I want to share them with you. You don’t have to spend an arm and a leg or take hours out of your schedule to have beautiful locks.

Trim Your Hair Regularly

Y’all, this may seem counterintuitive, but you need to cut your hair to grow it. Split ends can make your hair stop growing. They also can make your hair thinner than usual. For this reason, you should trim your hair every 8 to 12 weeks to keep it healthy.

Use the Right Brush

Have you ever spent eternity in front of the mirror ripping your hair out with a brush? This is NOT good for your hair, folks. Rather than being so rough with a traditional hairbrush, consider using a comb. Combs won’t rip your hair out the way a hairbrush does, and they’re more effective for getting out knots.

Shampoo Correctly

I never knew there was a right or wrong way to shampoo your hair until I found out about this tip, y’all. For starters, you should only use natural scalp treatments and recipes on your hair. Off-the-shelf shampoos are full of chemicals that can do damage to your hair. In addition to getting the right shampoo, there’s a right and a wrong way to wash your hair. You should always start with the scalp because that gets driest the quickest. Finally, don’t be like me and wash your hair too much; this will also dry it out.

These helpful tips on how to make your hair healthier and longer will give you more confidence when you look in the mirror. I don’t know about you, but I feel so much better when my hair is healthy. Luckily, with these tips, you’ll feel great all the time.
