Wine Tasting With Style

As I mentioned in my welcome post, not only was I going to let you in on all those tips for design, parties, and style but also cool places that you can go on a bare budget. So this is a post about a cool place on a bare budget.

Go wine tasting, even if you don’t particularly like wine you can go along and just taste a sip or two. They even have non-alcoholic alternatives. Most of the time wine tasting costs between $5-$10 per person, but the amount of enjoyment and relaxation you get is priceless. Plus your champagne style factor rises.

Recently, my husband and I went to visit Grove Winery in Gibsonville, NC. We were up in that area because my oldest daughter was attending her college orientation and we stayed up there with the two younger girls and decided to explore the local area. After spending the day before doing kid-friendly things, we decided to check out a winery. Now a winery can be kid-friendly. One of our favorite ones to go to has paddle boats and the girls love to paddle around the pond. This winery, however, did not have paddle boats but it did have beautiful grounds. Grove Winery was a quaint little winery set in the countryside.

A beautiful pond with some Adirondack chairs and a gazebo made it just the right setting to relax and sip wine.

The hostess was very friendly. As we went through our flights of wine, she explained about each wine we had chosen to taste. Wineries normally allow you to chose which wines you would like to sample. We always chose the sweet and the fruit based ones. So even if you are a novice at a wine tasting, you can still relax and have a great time. So see you don’t need to spend tons of champagne dollars to have champagne style on a bare budget.

Sending You Champagne Dreams.
